Thoughts to ponder: Have you ever been up against something that threatened to overwhelm you completely and you continued to ask for “God’s Grace” to stand and war and overcome and then suddenly realize that what you really wanted was “grace” in theory while forgetting that the person of Jesus Who IS Grace….must be invited right smack dab in the middle of the mess….OR THERE WON’T BE GRACE???
HE. IS. GRACE. And when HE/GRACE stands personified in the midst of whatever your battle is ….the battle must bow to His Presence in the middle of it all!
2 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
I don’t know if this is making sense, but my prayer is the Lord give you the same revelation that I received while I was sitting here pondering these things. The Lord gave me the visual of me applying the concept of Grace without the Person of Grace. WOW!! In a lightning flash moment of revelation, I saw how that does not work at all!
In other words, if you are struggling against a temptation or a habit of your old man, ask Jesus to go there ahead of you. Will Jesus go there and invite you to a place of temptation or sin? NO, HE WILL NOT! He will absolutely go there to rescue you….but He won’t lead you anywhere that you are not ruling and reigning in His Grace Presence.
Since Love sets healthy boundaries, sometimes you just need to love yourself enough to set boundaries that help you walk the path of righteousness. Jesus is perfect theology, so take the time to align your circumstances and choices up with Him. If they won’t align, turn and walk away….or rather, walk toward Him. True repentance isn’t just turning away from what is wrong….it is TURNING TO THE RIGHT ONE – the One Who laid down His Life and empowered you with His Grace to be set free!
John 1:17 “Truth and Grace COMES to us through the person of Jesus Christ!”
II Corinthians 15:57 “God gives us the victory all the time THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!”
Thank You, Lord, for empowering us from within with the Person of Jesus Christ so we may walk empowered in all ways!
